  13 Oct 1807 Thomas sold to John Alexander for $285 land on the bank of Bull Creek in Buncombe Co, NC.⁽¹³⁾ Thomas Marcum signed with an X mark.

In the 1830 Census, Thomas was listed as a head of household in Lawrence Co, AR.⁽¹⁴⁾ He was in his 40s, with a wife in her 30s, a young man of 15-19, a girl 10-14, three boys and a girl 5-9, and a boy and a girl under age 5.

  He's likely the same as Thomas Markham of Bedford, who was said to have been the parent of children married in Hot Springs Co. AR in 1841 and 1842.

  He's probably related to Arthur Markham of Lawrence Co. AR, of undetermined age, who was on an 1834 tax list in Spring Hill Township. Arthur could be the 15-19 year old male in Thomas's 1830 census record.

  As he hasn't been found in later records of Georgia, he might be the same as William Markham who was on a tax list in 1805 in Anderson Co, TN and died in Campbell Co, TN in 1808.
