William was buried at City Cemetery beside his wife.⁽²⁾ The tombstone says "Buried in Miliam, Bell, TX." Perhaps his remains were moved to be next to his wife; maybe the stone is just a memorial.

1850 in the Census of 1850, William was listed as a farmer and head of household in Union Co, GA.⁽¹⁰⁾ William was a resident of a portion of Bell County, Texas, when, on 4 January 1854, it was broken off to become Coryell County.⁽¹¹⁾
