This is a collector, and perhaps the common parent, for a group of five immigrants who came to St. John, New Brunswick from Sligo or Ballyshannon in 1833.

Since all of the five were called either "laborer" or "spinster," perhaps it may be assumed that they were all over 18 years of age. Given a birth rate of every two years, the eldest sibling would have been born about 1809 or before. This presumed father would probably have been age 21 or so when married.
